Looking to start the Whole30 program? Good for you!

You may be wondering though – when’s the best day to start Whole30? If you want to get the most of your program, you’ll want to set yourself up for success by picking a great day to start.

ANSWER: For most, starting a diet in the first day of the month or the first day of the week can greatly improve success.

Research has shown that the best day to start a diet is when you can channel energy and excitement around a new period in your life. This is why New Years and birthdays are very popular days for starting new habits, diets, or resolutions. The start of new school semesters or new seasons are also very popular (and successful) times to start new eating regimes or fitness programs.

However, you don’t need to wait for a new year or season to get psyched up. You can still channel that new clean slate excitement for the first day of the month or the first day of the week.

For the week, I’d suggest starting on what feels like the start of the week for you. Even though technically Sunday starts a new week, I’ve always naturally considered Monday the first day of my week, so I’d start a new habit then.
